Art tech task #3

My Colors by Davis Lumerman

  1. What is the tool that you have chosen? What does it do?
    1. I have chosen Sound Cloud as my tool. It takes audio recordings as well as movie recordings and publishes them to your individual blog or private folder.
  2. What else do you know about the tool?
    1. It allows you to edit your audio and visual files however you please. As well as add friends to share in your video files.
  3. How can you leverage this tool to create integrated art experiences in your classroom?
    1. Students will be able o create videos and audio files in order to express certain forms of art. This will help those students who are more into music or technology be able to create their works through the site.
  4. Why would you use the tool in the classroom?
    1. It is a very clever and helpful way to teach students how to use technology.
    2. It could be used for all grade levels.
    3. It would be easy for you, as a teacher, to create a sample to better demonstrate things to your students. As well as be able to share their creations with their parents and not just you.
  5. Could students use this app to create their own digital media artifacts?
    1. Yes, everything that the student creates will be saved to their login information. They will also be able to share it with the public as well. With discretion all students could publicly make a difference.
  6. What makes it easy to use?
    1. It gives you instructions to follow in order to create things. It's simple and not complex with uploading files.
    2. If a student chooses not to upload a file from another source, the student could record straight from sound cloud. This cuts out the middle man.
  7. What would challenge students?
    1. A challenging part of this site is transferring files from their site to another site. I had a very hard time trying to include an image and create an open window to my blog.
